There are as you maybe know a lot of different Amiga models and turbo cards. The power you get from your computer is also depending of what graphics mode you use, what OS you have and what programs you run in the background. Most "benchmark"-programs (a program to measure the computing power of the computer) shuts off the multitasking when the measurement is made. This is made to get an accurate value for the hardware. Two years ago I made a program that works in a different way. It doesn't shut off the multitasking but runs as a normal program. Then you get a more realistic value. A measurement of how fast your computer is to use in reality compared to others. If you like, you can download my program and compare to the computers below. You are also welcome to send your result file to me.

Det finns som du kanske vet en massa olika amigamodeller och turbokort. Kraften man får ut ur datorn är även beroende på vilket grafikläge man använder, vilket OS man har och vilka program man kör i bakgrunden. De flesta så kallade benchmark-program, som är till för att mäta prestandan på datorn, stänger av multitaskingen när mätningen görs. Detta görs för att få fram prestandan på själva hårdvaran. För två år sedan gjorde jag ett program som fungerar lite annorlunda. Det stänger inte av multitaskingen utan kör testprogrammet som vilket annat program som helst. Då får man fram ett mer realistiskt värde. Ett mått på hur snabb din dator är att använda i verkligheten jämfört med andra. When emulation goes beyond the original

This program was written in 1999. I used WinUAE on a Pentium 200MMX and it could not compete with my real amiga. Today on the other hand, my WinUAE runs between 400 and 1000 times faster than an A500... Here is a graph for you, with an Amiga500+ as a comparision base. (Amiga500+ is an A500 with AmigaDos 2.0 and ECS graphics). Measurements was done with my WSMB program. The reason for the small difference between the single core Athlon and the dual core Athlon is that WinUAE never uses more than 50% cpu on a dual core. (Maybe has something to do with the nature of cpu emulation?) This would mean that my computer probably is capable of emulating two of these super fast amigas at the same time.
